How to visit St Kilda
How I did it: We got there with Sea Harris
They run daily trips to St Kilda (Weather Permitting) from Leverburgh on the Isle of Harris.
Boat is very comfortable and fast, and gives you enough time on Main Island of Hirta to see the historical buildings. If you're fit enough you have plenty time to climb the hills, get close to the edge of these awesome sea cliffs and get some spectacular photos.
Highlight is when Seumas takes the boat out to boreray and round the sea stacs... i don't think anybody would be disappointed with this part.
Lessons & tips: Take suitable hill walking shoes, backpack with sandwiches and water, and waterproof jacket (just in case)
Book restaurant in Leverburgh for when you get back, its busy in the Summer and after such a long day you'll be hungry.
If in doubt, take some sea sickness tablets etc
