How to stop homophobia
How I did it: First and foremost, why the f**k do people even care about sexuality in the first place? Most people aren't tolerant with themselves. Most people have an inferiority complex.
The need to fit in is so compelling that people will look for someone to bash instead of improving themselves. This is the cause for all sorts of prejudice. I haven't seen one succesful intolerant person. They aren't happy. Hitler was intolerant and full of prejudice. Look where that got him. His hatred of himself and others cost millions of lives. I´ve read "Mein Kampf" so don't ask me how I know this.
As for me, I'm pretty secure with my sexuality. I take exceedingly good care of myself and dress the way I want. I even have a lot of feminine qualities, but that doesn't arbitrarilly mean I like guys.
I've even learned that gay clubs are better because they are true to themselves. You can actually feel the confidence in the club and people have more fun under those conditions.
While, I haven't been sexually attacted to a guy, I can see what makes guys attractive if that makes sense. Also, I don't hang out with people that have that kind of intolerance. Have you hung out with your friends and someone is like "Don't do that, that's gay." It's immature and annoying.
It doesn't really matter. It's important to be yourself without deceiving yourself or others. You'll learn that it's an easier and better way to live. You might find that gay people aren't so bad or scary as you were led to beleive. You might be able to relax in social situations and leave all tolerance issues behind.
Lessons & tips: Just relax and be honest with yourself. Just realize that sexuality isn't an issue. If you have friends full of prejiduce either cohearse them into a state of tollerance or let them go. You can find honest confident people and be friends with them.
Resources: Talking to lots of people. Reading lots of books. Doing cool stuff.
