We have always been uber-religious about using condoms. Basically we planned a date for us to stop using condoms and BAM, pregnant!
Now I can see how easily it is for people to get knocked up if they are being careless with birth control.
Lessons & tips: I was never on birth control pills and from what I have been told, this helped significantly in how fast i was able to conceive. It can take up to two years for those chemicals to fully work themselves out of your system for some people so the sooner you can quit, the easier it will be down the road. Just make sure you start using condoms or another form of protection while you are still getting ready.
