How to do napowrimo 2009 (a poem a day during April)
How I did it: I tried to keep time for writing and I prioritised activities that might give me ideas for poems. It wasn't easy even though I love writing. Sometimes I wrote things I regretted and once I deleted a poem because it might conceivably have been read by the person who inspired it and then of course you realise that you are not being fair, you are giving yourself artistic licence!! I did finish some poems that I had left hanging for a while so it was a productive time in that sense, but I didn't feel inspired by much that I do in my life. I guess I have an emotional hole.
Lessons & tips: I think you probably need to accept that there are days when you will have only a very slight idea and only a very small poem.
Resources: I loved reading everyone else's poems, though I have to say I felt completely overwhelmed by both the quantity and the quality.
Ruth G's prompts were very helpful to keep in touch with what might inspire me. i have a few saved for using later on.
