How to volunteer at the Humane Society
How I did it: Basically after adopting my 2nd cat I realized that while I was giving them good homes, I had time in my abnormal schedule to volunteer as a kitten feeder at the Humane Society. So I pulled up my socks, signed up, and every Monday evening I work the late shift, 11pm-3am feeding kittens in need. It's really rewarding and even the sickest kittens are the cutest things on the planet. 3-4 hours a week, you can do it too.
Lessons & tips: Most humane societies/animal service centres need help. Just call/go in person, tell them you need to help and it'll be easy from there. You will need your tetanus shot in the last 10 years from my experience.
