How I did it: I went to a nutritionist, and worked out everyday. Food related, I stopped drinking soda and most fruit juices, stopped snacking throughout the day, and stopped eating dessert. I also worked out everyday, cardio for 30 minutes and weight-lifting for 30 minutes.
Lessons & tips: Don't get discouraged! If you have a bad day, you always have another. There were some days when I just wanted to veg out on the couch and eat a bunch of junk food, but then I thought of all the progress I'd made. Also, when eating out, I always ordered water (because it's free!), and I never ate the bread that was given at the beginning of the meal.
These are some great tips of how people can make better healthy decisions like the bread thing at dinner. Congrats and thanks for your advice!
