How to wax my legs
How I did it: After having not shaved my legs since about new years, I decided that I might as well wait for spring and get a proper wax at a salon. So, about two weeks ago, I finally got off my but and booked an appointment!
Stockholm is full of "beauty schools" where you can book a student appointment for about half the usual cost. The students are very thourough and careful, and do a great job. If your schedule is a bit flexible it's a given!
The downside with these student appointments is that you normally have to wait for about 1-2 weeks. A couple of days before mine, I thought I might have to cancel it because of a presentation at work. It all worked out in the end though, and now my legs are baby smooth (almost...). I needed to complete this goal to get on with another one, my bikram yoga.
I will NOT shave my legs this summer, it's awful, doesn't last more than a day and makes the legs feel all prickly. From now on wax, wax, wax.
Lessons & tips:
- book an appointment with a student at a "beauty school". Most schools (at least in Stockholm) even have the possibility to book online. About half price!
- try to let the hair on your legs grow to a good length. You'll be much more satisfied with the waxing then.
- DON'T SHAVE
