How to be in a play
"This was so awesome. Even though I didn't join the most organized group, it was still an awesome experience. I got to be Fagin in Oliver Twist!"
How I did it: I joined a school provided Drama group, where we did two plays, A Christmas Carol and Oliver Twist. I practiced at home as well as the weekly practices we got as a group. In this way I was able to memorize my lines and get into character faster than anyone else.
Lessons & tips: Do not put off learning your lines. If you have free time while cleaning, practice your lines and work on giving them feeling and emotion.
If you mess up during the perfomance, do NOT say "oops" or stop. Just flow with it, ad lib, and bring it back.
