How to finish a game of monopoly
How I did it: As far as I can remember, I've never completed an entire game of monopoly before. I/other people usually get frustrated, and flipped the board, or just said "screw it you win." Tonight Kate, Elise, and I sat upon the floor, and kept at it. My goal was not to win, just stay in until I was cleaned out. Maybe not the best goal, but it took a lot for me not to just go "Arrg! Kate you win!"
Lessons & tips: 1. Instead of buying a ton of expensive spaces, get a set like orange or red, and put hotels on them. Rail roads are also a good idea.
2. If you are going to play on the floor, be sure to have a lot of pillows. You are going to be there for a while. Monopoly can be an emotionally draining, and physically straining game.
3. Like the game risk, this game can show the darker side of your friends. Take a deep breath, count to three, and remember its not rational to strangle your good friend over a game.
4. Remember that the beady, judging eyes of Mr. Monopoly are upon you. Just because the person that is in the lead, leaves the room to take a poop, doesn't mean that you can play by your own rules.
5. Just because you give someone a break, does not mean that they will give you one. See # 3
6. After the game its good to watch an up beat movie, to make you forget about the time you wanted to smack your best friend. Sweets are also good.
