How I did it: I Joined the military and waited to be called on. Once i got called on, i started training and getting ready for my tour. I got everything state side taken care of before i left and had contingency plans in effect just incase something fell through.
Lessons & tips: Don't join the army, join the air foce instead. they have it better off and don't have to do as long of tours

You don’t have to join the army to travel. I spent a few years saving up money for a world trip and ended up seeing the world ON MY TERMS! I took the risk. Had to start all over when I returned home, but having the experience was well worth it!
