How to enter a competition

How I did it: I starting looking up local competitions on google and entered a drawing competition.
Took me some time to get around to doing this, great thing about competition is the deadlines help keep you focused.
Having a theme also makes it easier to know where to start from. The theme for this London based competition was "Out of office"
Lessons & tips: Keep looking for opportunities to enter competitions particularly ones that can enhance or grow new or existing skills. Even if you don't win, as cliche as it sounds the taking part allows you to get in touch with your creative unique self and sometimes because it's easy to get caught in the tribe mentality without thinking about what our own unique contribution can add.
