Counting down
I like the way you listed the number of days it took to clear your debt and will do the same – measure progress by days rather than months.
Thanks!
How I did it: Lower expenses, increase income, concentrate on putting everything you have in to debt.
No one i know has ever had a budget as tight as mine..
I managed to live on about $10 a week food for 10 months.
I rented out my room and moved in to the laundry lowering my rent to $40 a week.
I started doing after hours contract work.
I got about 4 pay rises at work.
Lessons & tips: I stopped buying anything, best way to do that is find interests in
things that are free, make them genuine interests. (bush walking, rock
climbing, swimming, surfing, playing guitar, Gardening)
If all you want to do are these things then all the stuff that costs
money dont interest you anymore.. it becomes very easy to live
unbelievably cheap.
Resources: Internet, work (free resources at work)
steal toilet paper, free coffee and milk from work
