How to get laser eye surgery
How I did it: I contacted Ultralase, who sent me to a consultation. After this I was booked in for surgery within the next couple of weeks!
I was very nervous about the procedure when I arrived but went through with it despite the nerves - the surgery is painless but it hurts quite a bit for a few hours when the anaestetic wears off!
I'm using eye drops now, which I need to take for a few weeks - plus I have to wear these weird eye patches when I go to sleep!
It's only been a day since I had the surgery, yet on my follow up appointment today I was told I already have better than 20/20 vision, so all in all worth the couple of hours of pain!
Lessons & tips: Make sure someone goes with you, because it is hard to see when you leave, especially if it is a bright day!
Take sunglasses.
Although the surgery is painless, be prepared for it to hurt for a few hours afterwards!
When you get home, shut your eyes and try to sleep for a while.....
Use the eyedrops as directed - they do help!
