How to pay off my debts by thejourney

"Automatic payments help you reach your goal."

How I did it: I set up automatic payments. You forget about the money because you never see it go. When one debt was paid off, I put most of it on the next in line and put a small amount into savings. So I paid my debts and myself.

Lessons & tips: 1. Pay the smallest on first. It gives you a great sense of accomplishment

2. Pay a little to yourself so that you have something to fall back on.
3. Leave the credit cards and home. Cash rules everything around you.
4. Cash Flow! Don't put so much on your debts that you can't manage the basics. You'll only end up in more debt, especially if you have to resort to using a credit card just to make it to pay day.
