How I did it: On a whim I bought a table and chair during an Ikea shopping trip and ... kept them in the flat packs for eight months. Sheer laziness! Added it as a goal on my 43things list, hoping that would inspire me to actually put them together ... but it took me a while. Then one sunny Friday afternoon, I lamented to my sister Vanessa that I had nothing to do, and she suggested this goal to me.

So we chucked on a cd (ahem Manic Street Preachers, Journal for Plague Lovers), grabbed a screwdriver and got to work. It was quite easy with the two of us. And made way too many jokes about screwing. In the end, accomplished and proud that we put it together ourselves, but a bit ashamed that I procrastinated doing it for so long.

So now I have a cute orange table and chair that I don't really know what to do with, and I can't remember exactly for what purpose I bought them! Maybe I'll use it as a writing table?
