"WOO HOO!!!-it was time i listened to myself..."
How I did it: after freshman year, i realized, at least for me, college was a sham. i don't need college to be successful or rich.
i kinda flunked out my last semester, but i don't really care. i'm not going to be a college professor.
while i was in advertising school, they often talked of internet marketing; it made me frustrated that i wanted to do internet stuff, but didn't have time since college took up all my time. i don't need to go to school to lean about SEO, and hear teachers lecture on banner ads, and how best to internet market. I've learned so much more from internet marketers online, the best thing i can do is learn about computer stuff and programming, not take stupid tests on gen ed and advertising.
so, my plan is to work, and get my online businesses up as well as get good at stock trading. (that's another thing they don't teach you in school: money and life).
and even though i might have to bear through all the middle class people warning me about the dangers of no education, and how i will never get hired without a degree. Well, i'll show them pussies how it's done! I don't intend to work for other people. I intend to work for myself eventually! even my friends don't believe i can succeed. but i believe in myself.
also, i encourage everyone to follow your passion and listen to yourself. ya, at first it might be hard to go through life without a degree, but if you are committed and passionate, certainly you can accomplish anything.
my argument: neither bill gates nor barbara corcoran finished college.
Lessons & tips: try to have goals and plans before you do drop out.
Resources: what fueled me the most was hearing stories of millionaires who never finished college or felt that college wasn't what made them completely successful. many rich people aren't good at tests or staying in a classroom.
