How to see the aurora borealis

How I did it: It was completely by accident, really. I didn't go scouting it out, but i was camping in Merit Valley and I couldn't sleep, so I was planning on going for a walk, and I left the tent and was blown away by the veils of colour rippling across the sky. I dragged out a blanket and lay on it, mesmerized by the shimmering colours.
