How to go gluten free
How I did it: I started by just trashing every gluten object in my house (...sorry family!) and going to the local organic store "Earth Fare". I bought tons of gluten-free things like Nut Thins (crackers) and cookies that were gluten free. It was really hard for me at first, but now that I've been off of gluten for about a year, I can't believe how much healthier I am. I've lost 20 lbs (not even working out), my heart rate has gone down from 120 bpm to about 70, and I rarely get sick anymore.
(Side note: I have now concluded that I am allergic to gluten, having accidentally eaten it and immediately had slight throat-swelling.)
Lessons & tips: Be sure to always check the labels of things for wheat, flour, etc.
Whey isn't gluten... it's dairy. =)
Google is a great resource for finding gluten free recipes.
