How to make larabars
How I did it: ingredients:
dates, pulsed in blender, about 1 cup
dried apricots, pulsed, about 3/4 cup
pecans/sunflower seeds, pulsed, about 3/4 cup
Work everything together in a bowl. Use fingers. Treat like playdo or dough. Just get it all combined really well.
Roll into bars and wrap with plastic wrap. Eat. ENJOY! I'll be bringing these to work for a mid-morning treat.
Lessons & tips: above measurements are approximate; I just eyeballed everything; as long as
there is more date/fruit than nut/seed, it should all stick together.
I used a blender and pulsed the dates and fruit in very small batches. With large batches, they just get stuck together. Most recipes recommended a food
processer, but the blender worked fine for me.
My mix made 5 bars. I shaped each bar on a piece of plastic wrap. I
dipped my fingers in water so the mix didn't stick too much. It also
helps to shape them when they are partly wrapped.

Btw, 2 raw bars at whole foods cost $7 (canadian) - these were waaaaay cheaper - I bought everything bulk.
