How to be a lifeguard
"Difficult, but definitely worthwhile!"
How I did it: I started out by finding a lifeguarding class offered in my area. I looked for a class provided by the red cross. This class happened to certify me for CPR and first Aid too, which is always good. I called several area pools to get applications, and then sent them in (promptly). I heard back from several, got interviews, and was hired.
Lessons & tips: Apply to as many pools as you can, that way you won't limit yourself or, as cliché as this sounds, put all your eggs in one basket.
