How I did it: I compared different hybrid vehicles and test drove the Insight and Prius. I was able to make a good deal because of the recession and Toyota clearing out the 2009 models for the 2010 models. I bought the car to replace the one that I had totaled :(
Lessons & tips: Shop around, do your homework. But a hybrid this year if you can while gas prices are still low. When gas prices climb again, so will the demand for hybrid vehicles.
