How to buy a motorcycle
How I did it: At my friend's suggestion, we took a motorcycle safety course. At that time in NJ, the state sponsored a free course over the weekend. After we got our motorcycle endorsement, I started my internship and continued to save up money for my first motorcycle. We frequently visited dealers to sit on and talk about motorcycles to find the ones we wanted to get. I checked Craigslist alot to find different types of bike. I also consulted with some friends of mine to learn more and to practice on his Duc Monster. Finally I found a terrific deal on a Ninja 250. It's a great bike to start out on, but it's still really fun, especially in the urban area that I live in. It's definitely the best sporty motorcycle to start out on. Do not go for liter bikes as your first bike. You'll get hurt.
Lessons & tips: Take the motorcycle safety course to get your license. Start out on a small bike. Not your dream bike.
