How to be in control of my emotions
"It's not easy, but in the end it's worth it."
How I did it: I broke up with the boyfriend who was making me crazy for starters. Then it was just remembering to think and breathe. I didn't cry for a year and then when I did cry it was because my dog died, not because of some silly thing.
Lessons & tips: I had to remember that being in control of my emotions was not the same thing as suppressing them. I didn't want to be a blank, I just no longer wanted them to run my life and my mouth.
Resources: I never read the books but the idea "Don't sweat the small stuff; and it's all small stuff" helped. I often told my self, "don't let the stuff you can't change hurt you".
