How to learn to say no
How I did it: I actually sat myself down from time to time, stared into a mirror and practiced actually saying the word 'NO'. I used various voices from quiet and kind to loud and angry. For like 5 minutes and it works wonders because when you need to say no your so used to it, its easy! Another thing to consider when your deciding whether you actually want to do something is would the person who is asking you this. Would this person; if the roles were switched do what they're asking you? If your gut says no, you say no. people like being said no to, no one apreciates something unless it is earned. I'm so happy to not be a door mat. Especially with guys, they're much more interested in girls who dont always give them what they want or eat whatever. Its cool to have your own opinion and not always agree with others in order to make life easier. It doesnt make your life easier. be a little selfish you deserve it!!
Lessons & tips: I learned that people aren't as offended or upset as i imagined them being before. Most of the time people say 'okay', or 'uh okay', 'or laugh'. When on occasion some little brat freaks out I think they're ridiculous for expecting anything of me. Once you realize that most people except no as a perfectly fine answer you realize the people who dont take it well aren't as the kind of people you want to put yourself around, because they are selfish. Probably not the kind of person you want to be around anyways.
