How to visit new york city

"I had celebrity sightings galore and I took in the art and cultural atmosphere of New York City and discovered interesting shops that are my favs to this day. New Yorkers are ridiculously hard-working and wonderful people."
How I did it: I went with my Girl Scout troop in 2005 and I didn't have to plan everything out and get tickets and whatnot since the leaders did that for us but I do have to say the experience was completely worthwhile.
Lessons & tips: Check out all the historical and touristy places, they really are grand.
