How I did it: Had to send off for a proper copy of my birth certificate as I only had an extract.
Got photos done at the chemist.
Asked a friend to sign as my guarantor.
Forked out the $200 application fee,
Lessons & tips: Get a proper passport photo - don't go to a do it yourself booth like I did the first time because if it is not quite right they won't accept it. I got mine done at the chemist.
Make sure your guarantor signs within the white box bcos if they scrawl their signiture outside the box it also won't be accepted.
