How I did it: I started going online and Instant Messaging. With technology today, there are endless ways to keep in touch. I used the Windows Live Messenger IM to talk to friends, and e-mail those who I can't lose as a friend and always have to talk to. Phones are still a common way to stay connected, so make sure to carry one with you.

Lessons & tips:

• Get an E-mail Address and Get your Friends! You can keep in touch with friends, even if they live halfway around the world.
• Get a Webcam, so no memory is missed.
• Ask as many of your friends or people at work/school for their number or e-mail address, so you'll always have someone to talk to.
