How to stop drinking soda
How I did it: I simply quit drinking and substituted with alternatives. For example, I chewed gum with Xylitol (Trident) which is effective in fighting tooth decay. I also realized that because I had to pay money in dental bills to get my teeth fixed, it wasn't worth it. I have a better, brighter smile since eliminating soda from my diet.
Lessons & tips: Drink plenty of water and keep in mind the harm soda does to your teeth (even diet soda). I still need major dental work as a result. Also, do not give your children soda or sugary food in any form. I was addicted since I was given it at a young age. Learn to raise a child on healthier food and to shun this junk and I feel they will have it better down the road.
