"I had a few friends over and it was a lot of fun - we all took turns making and flipping them."
How I did it: I used a family recipe and I went with it.
- take 1.66 cups of flour and mix it 4 eggs
- Melt 2 tablespoons of butter
- warm 500 mL of milk in a pot (until lukewarm)
- mix the flour, the eggs, the butter and progressively add the lukewarm milk to the mix as you mix.
- let it rest for about 30 mins.
- take a pan, put a little bit of vegetable oil so it doesn't stick and use a ladle as a measure. 1 ladle is usually equivalent to one crepe.
Trial and error. Make it fun.
Lessons & tips: Make it fun. It's ok to fail the first few crepes.
As toppings: cane sugar, nutella and/or raspberry jam are amazing.
Document it. Even the "dog food crepes" that you mess up
Resources: My family members and my friends who laughed when the flipping failed and cheered when we each came up with a "perfect" crepe
