How I did it: I realized you don't work to be a better friend...you just have to simply care. And I realized that I do care! i am not a bad friend after all! If you care, your friend can tell, and all is well.

Lessons & tips: listen to what your friend is thinking! Even if you aren't good with advice, do your best...just start with "well, I am really not the best at advice but I think...." and end in "...I love you pal and you know i am here to listen"
