How I did it: I emailed my resume with a nice letter to the principals of schools in which I would be willing to work. I didn't get my first choice, but I did get my second choice definitely. I am going to be teaching high school insead of middle school. My preference for middle school is mainly because I like the teaming concept and you are not isolated in your room. However, my new job does have team planning on a weekly basis with my fellow bio teachers, so I don't think the isolation is going to be an issue. I couldn't be happier with this move. My daughter will be going to the same school, it is definitely the best school in town, and my son will be there eventually. It's a good deal all around.
