How to graduate high school
How I did it: It wasn't always easy, I started out freshman year not knowing what to expect. I was a bit of a follower then and was on the way to becoming one of those people who just drifted through high school with nothing special to claim.
My freshman year came and went and I ended moving away from Massachusetts to Florida. Another big change, this was more nerve wracking than my freshman year, I hated it. I spent most of this year discovering myself, not really having any friends, and figuring out towards the end of that year I needed to fix things come junior year. I can honestly say sophomore year although a very antisocial year for me it helped me figure things out.
Junior year finally arrived and I was ready for change, I came in ready to make friends and make up for the previous year. I struggled at first but towards the middle of the year a friend a met on myspace (I love you MEGAN!) invited me to drama club. I fell in live with it pretty quickly and it helped me break the ice with a lot of people. I found my niche in high school.
My senior year arrived before I knew it and it had to be my favorite year by a mile. I had my little beaner truck to drive around, drama club/thespian troupe to keep me occupied and some of the most amazing people I have the privilege to call my friends. These things helped my senior year become a blast, where I think I grew the most. I had my weak moments but I bounced back.
The only regret I can say I have is that I'm only graduating with roughly a 3.0 GPA when I know I'm so much better than that. Hopefully in college I can get a chance to graduate with honors if I really put the work into it.
These really have been amazing years and you should all make the most of them.
