"I went from being on Xanax and miserable, to the happiest I've ever been in my life and all it took was a change of perspective."
How I did it: I read some books, "Ask and it is Given" by Hicks, "The Spontanious Fulfillment of Desire" by Chopra, and really re-evaluated myself.
I say it took a month, but there are still times where I am unhappy sometimes... but I handle them better now because I pay attention to how I FEEL before getting too emotional.
I've been diagnosed with depression and now, without medication, I have been really happy for the past 8 months or so. I haven't really changed anything other than my point of view.
Lessons & tips: Quit measuring yourself by other people. Turn off your television, quit participating in drama, you all have enough of your own. Stop complaining, stop being sarcastic, stop being condescending, quit thinking you're any better than any body else. We're all the same on this planet, we all have the same chances so quit feeling sorry for yourself.
Get over it, quickly... nobody can MAKE you feel any way, you decide how you feel. Stop working yourself into a tizzy over every little hiccup. If you're still here, and you're still breathing, you're OKAY.
Believe that things can happen and they happen. Maybe not in the way you imagine, and you might not always get the outcome you're looking for, but you are not alone, there are people in this world that are just looking for an opportunity to help others.
Be HONEST. don't like, even to yourself. Don't do things that you know will make you feel guilty later. You don't have to, you're the master of your mind, you control what you do and what you say and what you think and what you feel. Take the CONTROL back!
Meditate, find yourself, get a hobby, whatever you do, DONT keep repeating the same actions expecting different responses and don't say you don't have the ability to change because you do, because YOU are in control.
Just because you've never done something before, doesnt mean you can't do something now. If you've ALWAYS been late, quit being late today, if you've always hated water, start drinking water now. CHANGE IT! Nobody is going to change it for you.
Take accountability, be responsible, quit blaming everyone else. Even when something bad happens that is out of your control, you can control your response to it.
Live your life, time spent angry and bitter and unhappy is time wasted.
