Rose1029 Let me be the calm you seek
Way to go! I’m currently in a wacky state of money usage and bills and such, so this really helps me be more optimistic. Thanks!
How I did it: I have always been frugal and a good saver, but now that I'm at a "grown-up job" after college, making a real salary yet still with very low living expenses, I am able to really save hardcore. Even though I'm making a lot more money than I ever have before, I haven't changed my spending habits, so I'm able to put that extra money away, into savings accounts, a Roth IRA (soon), and a 401k.
Lessons & tips: Don't spend like crazy. Put a little aside at a time and it will add up. Don't buy a ton of unnecessary things. Comparison shop. Reuse things. Only buy what you can afford. Live on less than you make.
