How I did it: I actually cut it myself with a pair of kitchen scissors from a semi-grown-out pixie cut, and although you may well imagine the devestation that could have been wreaked, it actually looks great!  A good middle ground for growing out cropped hair, but I think I will be sticking with it for some time to come!
