How I did it: I lived with my parents for 3 years after college, got a good job, and saved saved saved saved! When the market started to tank, I casually looked around and then found "the one." Who needs a man? I bought the condo with most of my savings as a down payment. It's so freeing to get to decorate all by myself!!
Lessons & tips: Always have an emergency fund! My heating system died in the middle of January and it cost $4,000 to replace!
