How to be healthy

glad you found help

It took 2 years before I was diagnosed with gallbladder. It didn’t help that I also had a chronic headache pain syndrome and depression at the same time. I was in so much pain how could I not be depressed? Doctors just assumed it was in my head and treated me for gastric reflux. Four monthes after I left my job, a stone got trapped in my bile duct. The pain was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. My husband rushed me to the hospital where after a 2 hour wait, I was finally given pain meds. I had to have a day of antibiotics before gall bladder surgery because I had gangrene due to being infected for so long. It was a complete nightmare. I don’t understand why doctors are hesitant to check for gall stones. I had all the symptoms. Afterwards, I felt like a new person, too. Even my depression got better! I’m sorry that you had to go through so much misery before diagnosis. No one deserves that kind of pain.

I agree with truthsayer226,

some of the worst pain ever! Can’t imagine having it as a chronic condition like the two of you. Very happy that it was resolved for you and you’re feeling better now!

Oh, blast.
