How to make soap
How I did it: Sodium hydroxide, water, and a balanced blend of oils, all mixed together at the temperature of 115 degrees Fahrenheit. I followed the recipe in Smart Soapmaking by Anne L. Watson.
Lessons & tips: Mix the water and sodium hydroxide before preparing the oils. It takes awhile for the lye solution to cool to the right temperature, in which time you can measure and heat the oils. WEAR PROTECTION when working with sodium hydroxide.
