How to get Healthy again (thyroid).
How I did it: I cannot honestly say that I got healthy again or that this task is completed, as it may never be truly completed. It will be most likely be ongoing for the rest of my life. But I can say that I am feeling healthier now and much more educated. Even if my journey has only begun.
Research online, books and talked online to other people on what they did to feel better. And read blogs. Everything I know still feels like theories and ideas more than facts and remedies. Even doctors cannot agree on how to treat thyroid disease and thyroid patients claim different treatments to be successful and/or fail. Nothing appears to be consistently useful. Some things are mostly helpful or only possibly useful. I have my own theories as does many others. It has become obvious that my health is completely my responsibility. Even if I don't feel I have the energy to take it into my own hands, I must. That can be a challenge. But I have more motivation to feel better than anyone else has for me to feel better. So I'm most likely to want whats best for me, I feel I'm the first and sometimes only person I can fully trust with my health.
So, my journey has only begun but I have learned a lot. I have just enough energy to do just enough on the days I feel my best. I rest on the days I don't. Or I try to. If only the rest of the world could understand that I don't always have the energy expected of me, so expectations could remain reasonable. And deadlines could be adjusted. But you try to adjust instead.
Lessons & tips: I can offer information I have learned. But everyone should research information and not just take someone's advice at face value. Find what works for you.
