How to go horseback riding on the beach
How I did it: It took awhile to find somewhere that was both close enough for this to be viable for us, and had a relatively positive trend of reviews from Tripadvisor and/or Yelp. I had plans to do this at a ranch about 45 minutes away, and saw many reviews that the horses were treated poorly, so I cancelled my reservation. Finding a new place somewhere we were already planning on going was pretty much pure luck. Otherwise, I decided what I wanted to experience (beautiful setting, well treated animals, safety but with minimal teaching because this wasn't going to be a new hobby) and tried to find a ranch that could provide it. It was a fantastic experience, beautiful and peaceful (until my horse got a little spooked...but she calmed down eventually)
Lessons & tips: I would just advise you to look around, ask about conditions that horses are kept in, if this is important to you.
