How to declutter my house
How I did it: I decided to move abroad, and the only place I have for my belongings part of a friend's storage space. The hardest part for me was starting. I had a lot of cloths, shoes, and old prom/brides maid dresses I haven't worn for years, so that is where I started. When getting rid of cloths, I remembered what a friend once told me...she said if you haven't worn it in a year, you probably won't wear it again. I followed those wise words and managed to get rid of 75% of said cloths/shoes/dresses, and now I only have things I love. I donated books to local libraries, art supplies I had not used in ages to schools, and anything I didn't use or would not use to a charitable cause. I also posted an ad on Craigslist and sold my furniture. Decluttering feels great!
