How to run the Maryland Half Marathon
"A VERY hilly, challenging course, but worth the time and money for cancer research."
How I did it: I registered for the race, practiced and then ran the race on race day. The hardest part of this race is to maintain a slow and steady pace since the course consists of one rolling hill after another with the final half mile on the race track at the Maryland State fairgrounds.
Lessons & tips: Practice doing a lot of hill running. The course has many rolling hills.
