How I did it: I bought this book and I read it when the lease on my car was coming due.  It made me realize that living within two miles of everywhere I usually go does not constitute needing a car.  Sure it would be different circumstances for everyone, but I'm the perfect candidate so I jumped right into this challenge.  I hope I can show others how this can be a good decision for them too!  Save money and save the planet!

Lessons & tips: Don't freak out if you can't live car-free because car-lite can be good as well.  The financial benefits won't be as strong, but you will definitely feel good about all the exercise you are getting and the lack of fuel you will need to buy.
