How to make homemade ice cream
How I did it: I have an ice cream machine so following the instructions in the Ben & Jerry's cook book I froze the bowl part for 24 hours then poured disturbing amounts of cream & sugar in the bowl whilst mixing. I was trying to make Rolo cup but my crap local supermarket didn't have any Rolos so I had to substitute Munchies, which were absolutely amazing anyway. I used 'sweet cream base no. 2' from the book and OMFG! It was JUST like Jen & Berry's - at home and even better. However, disturbed by the shocking ingredients I am only making ice cream 6 times a year, max.
Lessons & tips: Make sure the bowl is completely frozen, don't add the munchies too soon as they will sink, yoou can keep it for at least a week in the freezer so don't eat it all at once, piggy.
