How to pay off all credit cards,
How I did it: After making decent sized payments ($200-300) a month for a couple of years and not retiring the credit card debt I'd accumulated from graduate school tuition (what wasn't covered by student loans) and dental care bills, I took on 3 extra jobs this summer to pay it all down. I spent my two-week vacation from from my full time job, and one evening a week and many of my summer weekends doing added freelance work. Every check went towards credit card bills and now I've added $1,000 to my savings. I gave up much of my leisure time this summer, but it was worth it, especially in this economy. I'll also have more of my monthly paychecks, now that a portion isn't going to credit card payments.
Lessons & tips: Being able to make the largest payments possible - $1,000-&2,000 at a time is how I cleared my credit cards despite the interest.
