Did it again
Did it again before the holidays… another 7 inches gone. It was taking so long to dry in the cold. Now, it is no problem at all!
How I did it: A few weeks ago I finally broke down and decided to get my hair cut shorter. Unsure about what I wanted, I had them take an inch off at a time. The longer I thought about it, the easier the decisions were; I ended up having seven inches cut off. I can't begin to tell you what a liberating feeling it was doing it... When I caught a glimpse of myself from the side in a mirror last week, I was pleased with what I saw but for a few long seconds did not even realize it was me. Now THAT was funny... and worth every inch to me... ;)
Lessons & tips: Having my hair cut shorter, especially before summer, is such a relief. I have actually save myself a great deal of time getting ready each day, as my hair seems to dry much quicker and I don't have to fight with as many tangles as I did. Just be sure to keep it long enough to easily pull back into a ponytail -- that way, you have the comfort of long hair for you and your partner to enjoy without the hassle of needing an eternity to get ready.
Resources: Ionic hair dryers have been much faster drying long hair.... but letting it dry naturally is the key to keeping it healthy.
