How to go to university
How I did it: Everyone in my family has graduated from uni, so I knew that I should probably go too. The hardest part for me was picking which school I wanted to go to and what program to be in. I spent a lot of time with my guidance counselor, narrowing down my choices, but now I'm entering third year at (what I consider) one of the best schools in Canada
Lessons & tips: Go with what you want, not what everyone thinks you should do. Coming form a family of business and science majors, I got a lot of weird looks for picking an arts-based major, but three years in, I can say I'm far happier than some of my friends who picked the programs that their parents wanted them to be in. And remember, it's not permanent... if you get through first semester and feel like you made the wrong choice, you can always switch faculties.
