How to save up 3 months worth of salary for emergencies

How I did it: Now in this economy I realize that I still have to keep going. 3 months is not nearly enough. I think I may have to make sure that I get in at least a year. I am up to about 4-5 months now and while I still have a job squander as much moolah as I can. Good luck to all.
