How I did it: Found a great realtor who took us to see 3 houses one day. The first 3 were absolute dumps... and the 4th was OUR home. We knew it right away. We put our offer in as soon as our realtor heard another offer was going to be made - we got lucky and made the first offer. Make sure you ask for the appliances, light fixtures and all attached mirrors if this is your 1st home!
