How to work out more
How I did it: I made a decision that I wanted to become a healthier person. At first, it was difficult to find the motivation to start. But one day I just went out running and I felt great! I started slowly-working out 30 minutes for 3 days a week and worked my way up to 1 hour 5-6 days a week. I focused on cardio and began to incorporate weight training to tone up. Now I've been working out for about a year and 3 months and I feel great!
Lessons & tips: Just start! The most difficult thing is finding the motivation to get going. Instead of making excuses, just start one day. It doesn't have to be big. It could just be a quick 10 minute work out. It will still make a difference and you will become more motivated to continue with a steady routine.
Don't get discouraged if you don't see results right away. It takes time to start seeing results. Just know that if you keep with it you will eventually see the results and it will definately pay off!
Understand that it is ok to miss a few days - as long as you keep with it. I would miss a week and think that I should just give up - that I've lost my results. But this is not true at all! Now when I miss days, it motivates me to work harder to make up for lost time.
Do a variety of activities to keep you motivated and interested.
Have fun! Do activites you like and you will want to continue your routine!
